Community Library Offers Great Tools to Small Businesses
Tara Moran, a business specialist who is a librarian at the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library and also holds an MBA degree, was the guest speaker at the regular Chamber meeting on Monday, August 8th. Her presentation covered some surprising resources available to local business owners, including free databases for doing business research on industries, and even compiling consumer marketing lists like new homeowners or residents interested in eating out based on zip code.
Joint Chamber Networking Event a Great Success
On Tuesday, June 14th, three local Chambers met at JC’s in Manorville to hold their Annual B2B Networking Event. It was well attended by over 60 people from local businesses. Chambers in attendance were from Manorville, Mastic/Shirley, and Moriches. It was a great night for members from different Chambers to meet and discuss ideas and opportunities.
