Chamber Echoes – June 2018

This month’s general meeting was held on Monday, June 11th at the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge, located at 40 Smith Road in Shirley, NY. It was a real pleasure to have a meeting at such a beautiful venue and many members were in attendance. The Chamber provided a free lunch to all who came.

Learn Microsoft OfficeLearn how to add sound, music and animations to your slides. We’ll also cover how to rehearse timings for your presentation as well as more advanced features, including editing comments or notes and changing master views for handouts and printing purposes. Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint or attendance at our Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint class is strongly recommended. Presented by the MMS Community Library Digital Service Department.

National Night Out @ William Floyd Athletic Complex

National Night OutNational Night Out is a nationwide initiative to fight crime by hosting community-driven, family friendly events. The goal is for citizens to participate in safe group activities to show they are in control of their neighborhoods. Last year more than 650 people attended Night Out, and 37 community agencies participated.

Local businesses are invited to have a free spot, no sales but you may do giveaways or an activity to promote your business. Vendor setup at 4 pm.
